2024 ISI Inspection Report
Immanuel College Delighted with Excellent Inspection Report
In September 2024, Immanuel College was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). Unlike Ofsted, the ISI does not provide a single-word rating of the school but instead determines if its strict standards across five key areas are met. I am pleased to share that we meet all such standards. The report is overwhelmingly positive about our school, all of which is available to read here:
Highlights include recognition that:
· Governors, leaders and staff share an unswerving commitment to protect and support pupils;
· Leaders promote a culture in which safeguarding is prioritised... Pupils feel safe because leaders act on any concerns;
· Pupils develop their self-esteem, confidence and resilience…. Teachers and tutors are caring and compassionate to pupils;
· School policies, systems and the curriculum support the school’s vision to equip pupils with the attributes of kindness, aspiration, responsibility and curiosity;
· Leaders have revised the behaviour policy which is understood well by the school community. The focus on consideration and kindness, alongside clear expectations, promotes pupils’ positive behaviour;
· Pupils value the teaching they receive because they understand its relevance now and in their lives beyond school;
· Pupils recognise that being part of a supportive community plays an important part in their academic development; and,
· The school’s modern orthodox Jewish ethos and culture align closely with fundamental British values which are embedded in the PSHE curriculum.
I would like to thank the entire team at Immanuel College for all they do for our pupils, families and community on a daily basis and to the ISI for its fair and accurate assessment of this in the inspection report.
