Wednesday 19 November 2025 Holocaust Survivor Mala Tribich Visits Immanuel College Yesterday our Year 12 students had the immense privilege of hearing from Holocaust survivor Mala Tribich MBE. Mala shared her remarkable story of resilience, courage, and hope — from life in the Piotrków ghetto to surviving Ravensbrück and Bergen-Belsen. Her testimony brought history to life in the most powerful way, reminding us of the importance of memory, empathy, and standing up against hatred in all its forms.

Wednesday 19 November 2025 Les Misérables Comes to Immanuel College's Joyce King Theatre Immanuel College is proud to celebrate the resounding success of its recent production of Les Misérables School Edition, which concluded its run to standing ovations at every performance and glowing acclaim from audiences, staff, and community members alike.

Wednesday 12 November 2025 Immanuel College Chess Team Qualify for Next Round in Chess Federation's National Schools Competition The Immanuel College chess team competed in the English Chess Federation's 'National Schools Chess Competition' qualification round at Harrow School yesterday. Despite the fact we were playing against teams with far more experience, we qualified to the next round, coming 3rd overall. Well done to Merchant Taylors and Harrow School 'A' who took first and second.

Tuesday 11 November 2025 Remembrance Day Assembly 2025 Today, our school held a Remembrance Service to remember those that have lost their lives in conflicts across the world and to commemorate the armed forces. We welcomed Former Pilot Officer Ivan Sugarman, who spoke about his military experience and heard speeches from and music sung by our students. Immanuel College honoured the two minute silence that was accompanied by the Last Post.

Friday 7 November 2025 Prize-Giving Success Immanuel College hosted its annual Prize-Giving ceremony, celebrating the depth of the student body, with prizes, musical performances, hearing a Dvar Torah from Jonah in Year 13, our Head Boy, Joel and Head Girl, Annabelle.

Thursday 6 November 2025 U18A Footballers Win Against Merchant Taylor's Our U18A football team had a successful 2-1 win against Merchant Taylor's School yesterday. The boys displayed some great teamwork and passio, and a big shoutout goes to Isaac and Jayden for getting MOTM. Well done boys!

Tuesday 4 November 2025 Year 9 Netball Success! Our Year 9 netball team performed outstandingly this week against St Michael's School, winning 25-11! It was an excellent display of teamwork and skill, and a big shoutout goes to Talia for getting Player of the Match. Well done girls!

Tuesday 28 October 2025 Israeli Shuk - Celebrating the Return of the Hostages Our Senior Prefect Team organised a meaningful Israeli Shuk event in the Beit, raising funds to support charities in Israel and celebrating the return of the hostages. Prayers were also recited for the safe return of those still held in captivity and for the dignified burial of those who have not yet been brought home. The event created a wonderful atmosphere of unity and purpose, with music, dancing, activities, arts and crafts and an abundance of delicious Israeli food.

Friday 24 October 2025 Year 7 Book Buzz Year 7A received their choice of book as part of our annual 'Book Buzz'. Each student also has their own copy of the Usbourne Creative Writing Book which motivates them to improve their writing skills as we gear up to enter the BBC 500 Word Competition.

Thursday 23 October 2025 Noah Represents IC in the Herts Scratch Golf Tournament Noah P recently represented IC in the Herts Scratch Golf Tournament, finishing 20th out of 72. The standard of golf was incredible, with a large proportion of the participants playing below a 3 handicap. This is a fantastic achievement, especially since Noah currently plays off of a 7. Well done Noah!

Thursday 16 October 2025 Sixth Form Open Evening We were delighted to welcome Year 11 families from IC and beyond to our Sixth Form Open Evening. Our Head of Sixth Form , Nicola Fahidi, gave an excellent and informative presentation along with members of the Senior Prefect Team and Our Deputy Head Academic, Danielle Kestenbaum. Parents and students then had the opportunity to peruse our options fair and speak to staff and current IC6 students. There was an exciting buzz in the air! This year we are delighted to be adding to our Sixth Form offer with 4 new BTECs. Contact us for further information.

Tuesday 30 September 2025 Co-Curricular Fair Launch This week saw the launch of the annual Immanuel College Clubs and Societies Fair! The buzz in the room was incredible and really got our staff and students ready for an exciting year of programming! The programme this year is the biggest and best yet, with so much to offer for everyone.

Thursday 10 July 2025 Staff Compete Against Sixth Formers in End of Term Rounders Match To end the year, our Sixth Formers organised a thrilling Staff vs Sixth Form rounders match as part of the IC6 sport programme. With almost the whole school in attendance, everyone enjoyed a fantastic morning.

Monday 7 July 2025 Year 7 Study Andy Goldsworthy in Art and Photography Art and Photography combined lessons last week to create and photograph Land Art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy, whom we have been studying this term. The students gathered natural forms such as leaves, stones, twigs and flowers and arranged them on the ground. Each group made something different and really captured the Goldsworthy style in their creations. As the work is open to the elements and therefore temporary, each group took a photograph of their land art sculpture which will be edited in photography lessons.The students really enjoyed the opportunity to work outside and as a group and they fully committed to the task. Thankfully, the weather was perfect!

Friday 4 July 2025 Kelly Hesp, Cheerleader and Dance Choreographer Visits Immanuel College On Thursday 3 July, we welcomed a very special guest to Immanuel College. Professional Dance Choreographer and LA Laker Cheerleader Kelly Hesp visited the school to deliver 2 sessions to our pupils. The pupils had an amazing time learning their routine and were able to ask Kelly questions about her career. We hope to welcome her back when she returns to the UK in 2026!

Monday 23 June 2025 Iris Haim Visits Immanuel College We were deeply honoured to welcome Iris Haim, mother of Yotam Haim z”l, one of the hostages tragically killed in Gaza. Iris’s strength, compassion and extraordinary message of forgiveness moved every single student and staff member present. Her powerful words—about love triumphing over hatred, and unity in the face of tragedy—left a lasting impact on our community. Iris’s visit was a reminder that even in the darkest moments, we can choose humanity, dignity, and hope. We will carry her message forward.

Tuesday 17 June 2025 Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh Success A huge congratulations to our incredible students who have successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition! Over the course of their journey, they demonstrated outstanding teamwork, resilience, and determination. From navigating their routes with confidence to mastering essential outdoor skills like pitching tents and cooking on a trangia, every group supported one another and rose to the challenge. The smiles, laughter, and sense of achievement said it all — everyone had a fantastic time, and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts and spirit.

Monday 16 June 2025 Year 9 Visit the Israeli Ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely As part of their prize for winning the Year 9 Israel Ambassador Competition, students had the unique opportunity to meet the Israeli Ambassador to the UK at the Israeli embassy. They shared their presentations, heard about the ambassador’s role, and reflected on how Israel remains a central pillar of our school's Jewish ethos and identity.

Tuesday 10 June 2025 IC6 UCAS Conference at The Grove Hotel Our sixth form students took a big step towards their futures at the IC6 University Applications Conference. Mrs Fahidi and Mrs Marx guided them through the UCAS process, helping them kick-start their applications. Mhairi Sharp from Leeds University provided invaluable advice on crafting a compelling personal statement, offering insights into what truly impresses university admissions tutors. Meanwhile, our Oxbridge applicants joined Theo Boyce from Oxbridge Applications for an exclusive workshop on tailoring their statements for Oxford and Cambridge. Mrs Lichman introduced students to the world of international applications, covering opportunities in the US and the wide range of universities available in Israel. After an information-packed morning, students dedicated time to refining their own personal statements, receiving support and guidance from tutors and the sixth form team. Tuesday 10 June 2025 Alumnus Elliott Karmel joins our IC6 Careers Programme! Elliott Karmel, an Immanuel alumnus who graduated in 2018, returned last Thursday to speak with Year 12 students about his career journey since leaving the College. Now working at SAE Media as Senior Marketing Executive, Elliot shared valuable insights into the media industry, giving students a first-hand glimpse into life beyond school and the diverse pathways available in both creative and professional sectors. His engaging presentation was both inspiring and informative, emphasising the importance of networking, perseverance and adaptability in building a successful and fulfilling career. We are incredibly proud of Elliott's achievements and it was a delight to welcome him back to school.

Tuesday 10 June 2025 Miss Rich Named as Team GB Flag Bearer at the Maccabiah Games We are proud to announce that Miss Rich (Class of ‘21 and PE staff member) and 16 of our students will be representing Great Britain at the upcoming Maccabiah and JCC Games this summer.Miss Rich has not only been named the captain of the Open Netball squad but has also been selected as one of the Flag Bearers for the Games, carrying the GB Banner. Miss Rich says:“I am so excited for the Games this year and to be representing my country for the third time as athlete. I am even more honoured to have been chosen as both Netball Captain and Flag Bearer for Team GB. Especially now, it feels more important than ever for Jews around the world to come together over a shared passion. Thursday 22 May 2025 Immanuel College Compete in First Athletics Event of the Term We kicked this term off with over 30 pupils competing in our first ever Athletics Event. Collectively, students participated in 16 disciplines, including a number of runs, jumps and throws. Outstanding performers include Eli P, Josh B, Tori K and Livia K, who all excelled in their respective events. Thursday 22 May 2025 Year 9 Yad B'Yad Programme Over the past three weeks, our Yad B’Yad programme has been an incredible journey of learning, giving, and community. Students engaged in a series of workshops, where they learned about a variety of charities, visited different locations, and contributed in meaningful ways—whether by helping, packing, or offering their time and energy. Through these experiences, they explored what it truly means to be a giver. The programme culminated today with a special workshop led by Rabbi Levi Goldrab from Achisomoch, deepening our understanding of the importance of tzedakah and chessed in Jewish life. A huge thank you to everyone who made this programme so impactful and inspiring for all involved and especially our amazing Year 9 cohort!

Monday 19 May 2025 Alumna Sabrina Miller Joins our IC6 Careers Programme! We were thrilled to welcome back alumna Sabrina Miller this morning for an inspiring careers assembly. A former Immanuel College student with a passion for journalism, Sabrina has built a successful career at the Daily Mail and was named Young Journalist of the Year in 2023.During her talk, she shared her journey from Immanuel College to the University of Bristol, reflecting on how her experiences helped shape her professional path. She spoke candidly about the challenges and opportunities she has faced while pursuing a career in media, offering students valuable insights into the world of modern journalism.Students were particularly engaged by her compelling stories of undercover investigations and war reporting, which highlighted the courage, curiosity, and integrity required in her field.We are incredibly proud of Sabrina and all that she has achieved, and we look forward to seeing what she does next.
