History Interviews with Mr Raine - Nov 2020
It is the 75th anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials which were held in the autumn and winter of 1945. Nazi leaders, military and political, were brought together and tried for war crimes by the victors. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with Dr Lisa Pine Associate Professor of History at LSBU. She recently published a book called Debating Genocide. It discusses not only the crimes of the Nazis but places them alongside other genocides that have occurred since the end of the 19th century and into the 21st century. Her work examines the concept of genocide and analyses its dynamics. In addition, Dr Pine has written extensively on the social history of Nazi Germany and on gender and the Holocaust.
