Immanuel commerates Yom Hazikaron 2026

Today Immanuel marked Yom Hazikaron, Israel's official Memorial Day. Pupils and staff attended a memorable and moving assembly to commemorate the day, remembering fallen Israeli soldiers, security services and victims of terror.

Immanuel was honoured to welcome Eitan Fassberg and Spencer Gelding from Beit Halochem as guest speakers, and the entire school was touched and inspired by their words.

The assembly, prepared and organised by Mrs Sadeh-Ginzburg and Mr Levey, was led by Alicia G and Zac L, and included various musical performances, prayers and poems. Jessica A, Ori Z, Emilie M, Alon J and Lia R beautifully recited special prayers and a poem that reflected the mood of the day.

Max B moved the audience with his singing of ‘El Maleh Rachamim’. Lev Echad choir impressed with their singing ‘Mi Sheberach’ and ‘Lo Teda Milchama', while Eliane L beautifully sang ‘New Day Will Rise’, Israel’s Eurovision entry last year.
