New Startup Launch For Two Alums
Two bustling alumni are excited to announce the launch of their new startup, Factored.
David Rabee and Benjamin Schuldenfrei (both class of 2008) combine more than 20 years of experience in the property and finance sector to launch a new business that helps landlords access capital.
When speaking to the best friends and former classmates, Rabee explained: “The landlord industry is booming with over 8.6 million households renting in the UK, but the problem is that for many landlords it is a challenge getting access to affordable and flexible capital."
“Banks can be very restrictive with their lending and there are very few, if any, tailored financial products specifically for landlords.”
“Factored aims to resolve this,” he continues. “Our product is based on factoring, which is commonly used with invoices, and applying this concept to future rental income. Landlords can draw down up to £10,000 of future rental income and put this towards important property improvements, refurbishments, energy efficiency upgrades and expanding their portfolio.”
The entrepreneurial duo join the long list of Immanuel College Alumni who have launched startups and proudly promote entrepreneurship. This includes their fellow classmates Joshua Hart and Matthew Doltis of YuLife, Joshua White (class of 2007) the founder of sustainable water brand, CanO Water, Simon Rabin (class of 2004) the founder of fintech Chip and Daniel Lipinski (class of 2004) founder of Outfund.
The school's Alumni has often been hailed for its entrepreneurial spirit, with head teachers citing 'problem solving' and 'chutzpah' at the heart of their success. Earlier this month, the Alumni hosted a business networking event and a panel of speakers which includes public figure Dr Michelle Braude (class of 2004) and popcorn entrepreneur, Laura Jackson (class of 2003).
