Year 12 and 13 Photography and Geography Trip to Iceland
Our Year 12 and 13 students had a fantastic time in Iceland on their combined photography and geography trip.
The Year 12 photographers added to their photography coursework with exciting photoshoots whilst the Year 13 photographers took images for their exam paper under titles such as Cubism, Messages and Scale.
The geography students studied key physical geography as part of their A-Level course including coasts and hazards. They also had the opportunity to conduct fieldwork on key geographical features and processes including the black sand beach and waterfalls.
Students enjoyed the Blue Lagoon thermal pool, the two continents bridge, waterfalls, geysers, the black beach at Vik and Solheimajokull glacier. They spent time in Reykjavik and visited the Thingvellir National Park and were delighted to catch sight of the Aurelius Borealis.
